<p>Any, that 170 lbs mark needs to get broken to the downside in a hurry here if I am going to hit my weight goal of 155 lbs by the end of the year.

Went to the foothills and ran on the Corral&#8217;s trail for about 40 minutes with the dog.  Normally, I would stay far away from the foothills when it rains, but didn&#8217;t have much choice since the dog also needed exercise.  Choose Corrals [...]]]></description>

<p>Went to the foothills and ran on the Corral&#8217;s trail for about 40 minutes with the dog.  Normally, I would stay far away from the foothills when it rains, but didn&#8217;t have much choice since the dog also needed exercise.  Choose Corrals since it is one of the sandier trails that drains water quickly.</p>
<p>Based on today&#8217;s weigh in, looks like I need to make an effort to reduce the food consumption.  I was thinking that by weighing myself daily, I am setting up a &#8220;crutch&#8221; of sorts.  When I know how much I weigh, I can choose to change my eating habits to the current weight.  And if you look at my weight over time, say the last 6 months, you&#8217;ll notice that I really haven&#8217;t chosen to lose weight.</p>
<p>It doesn&#8217;t take much to start losing weight, just enough of a reduction such that the intake of calories is exceeded by the use of calories.

<p>This makes two days in a row for October that I have exercised.  In case you didn&#8217;t notice, I&#8217;m planning on exercising every single day of the month.  Need to knock off a bunch of pounds before the end of 2008.</p>
<p>Yes, I have been slacking in the weight loss department.  It is very easy to get &#8220;careless&#8221; and say &#8220;just this once&#8221; (now I understand those meth prevention commercials they keep showing on TV).</p>
<p>Tomorrow is Friday, the weather appears to be changing to less than ideal conditions for bike riding.  More than likely I will be running with the dog in the foothills.

<p>I don&#8217;t know what it is, but it seems that when I exercise around that time, my body just burns off weight over night.

<p>It makes me feel full so I don&#8217;t eat as much as I might otherwise.</p>

<p>But, since we have been eating out regularly since arriving in Maine a few days ago, the weight loss is not happening.</p>
<p>I know, I know, I need to have more self control - less snacks, lighter meals, more water (definitely more water with the way the humidity is around here).</p>
