Still going.
Ran for 30 minutes yesterday down to the Boise High School track and back. Took the dog and my youngest son.
We didn’t really run the whole time since my son likes to talk when we have what we call QT = quality time. When it is just he and I with nothing to interupt.

This makes two days in a row for October that I have exercised. In case you didn’t notice, I’m planning on exercising every single day of the month. Need to knock off a bunch of pounds before the end of 2008.

Yes, I have been slacking in the weight loss department. It is very easy to get “careless” and say “just this once” (now I understand those meth prevention commercials they keep showing on TV).

Tomorrow is Friday, the weather appears to be changing to less than ideal conditions for bike riding. More than likely I will be running with the dog in the foothills.

Yesterday I ran for 30 minutes in the Boise foothills with the dog. And tonight I am planning on a bike ride in the Foothills. Friday night will probably be a single speed bike ride also.

… reminds me of a song with the lyrics, “10,000 people maybe more”, or something along those lines.

I digress.

Busted out a 10,000 ergometer piece at the local YMCA.

41:55.2, 2:05.7 / 500 meters, 21 strokes per minute.

8:27.4 22 2:06.8 2000m
8:23.7 22 2:05.9 6000m
8:24.1 21 2:06.0 8000m
8:15.5 22 2:03.8 10000m

I think I am realizing (once again) that I actually have to do something if I want to lose any more weight. Surprise! And one of those things is exercising.

In the winter, I find it easiest to go to the Y to workout. I have noticed that I get my most weight loss to occur when I exercise in the evening – especially after 8PM.

This is all anecdotal, but it seems to be a theme with me. Even in the summer time when I go for an evening mountain bike ride and get home late … usually the next day I wake up an weight in a pound or less than the day before.

January 2008 looks like it is going to be one of those weight “maintenance” months – no real change in my weight for the month.
