Or lack there of.
I am up a couple of pounds this month and up for the year.
And I know exactly why.
Halloween.
Kids brought candy home and I ate it. Ever since, I haven’t done anything special to get rid of those few pounds and as a result I am still carrying them around like they are part of the furniture.
Not sure if this weekend’s activities resulted in weight loss, but I did put in the effort.
Friday night was 10,000 meters on the ergometer in 43:20. Saturday was another 10,000 meters in 42:58. Sunday was 1:07 run through the Boise foothills on Corral’s to Bob’s trail. And by Sunday afternoon, my stomach was hurting from the effects of rowing.
New record for the earliest measurable snow fall. The previous record was set in 1969 for October 12th.
Because it is so early, the trees have not yet lost their leaves. The result – “snapping trees”. Lots of trees here snapped under the weight of the wet snow on the branches.
Now you will understand why I went indoors yesterday to exercise.
Rowed for 10,000 meters on the ergometer at the local YMCA in 43:20.1.
And not making any real progress.
Froze my a** off on a bike ride last night up and down 3 Bears trail in the Boise foothills. Not sure why it is called 3 Bears when it has 4 hills on the trail that you need to ride up.
Any, that 170 lbs mark needs to get broken to the downside in a hurry here if I am going to hit my weight goal of 155 lbs by the end of the year.
I don’t know why it is, but when I run in the dark like I did last night, I feel like I am going faster then I would otherwise.
No, I am not running scared.
That’s what my wife told.
It might have to do with the fact that I ran last night, ran this morning and went to the YMCA tonight.
Granted, I didn’t go the distance. Last night’s run was for 30 minutes, this morning was 25 minutes, and the ergometer row at the Y was ony 10 minutes with 10 minutes for basketball with my oldest son.
