This is about 5 minutes better than last year. Here’s why. I trained less than last year, 3 – 4 runs a week, I weigh less than I did last year by about 5 pounds, and followed my heart.
By follow my heart I mean I used my heart monitor to make sure I stayed below (or there abouts) 180 bpm. I think that made a *big* difference.
I did NOT bonk at the 10.5 mile mark like I did during the previous two Robie Creek Races that I did.
