I Gained 2 Pounds

Just like I thought.  I gained back all of the weight I lost yesterday - plus some more.

I knew it wouldn’t last, it never does.  Yesterday’s two plus pounds that I lost after running for 2 hours (about 13+ miles) came roaring back this morning.  As I stood on the scale, the digital scale flickering until it settled on 177.2 lbs.  Exactly 2.6 pounds greater than what I weighed after running, but only 0.2 pounds higher then the pre-run weight.

What I am fairly certain is that the exercise will have a long term impact on my weight loss results.  Not yesterday’s run by itself, but the cumulative effect of exercising on a regular schedule.  It’s easy to go out and be a weekend warrior, giving it your all for a concentrated effort over a short amount of time.  It’s another to religiously stick to a program even when you don’t feel like you are getting the results you want and especially when you don’t feel like exercising.
