What follows are the exact steps to lose 2 lbs in 2 hours.
First thing you need to do is weigh yourself in the morning before you eat or drink anything. Make sure to do this after using the bathroom and with as little clothes on as possible – or naked. This will be your baseline weight.
Next, eat a heaping bowl of Cheerios with 2% milk. Follow that with 12 ounces of water.
Get some running clothes on.
Go outside and run for 2 hours without stopping.
Come home, go back inside, strip off your running clothes and running shoes. Get back on the scale you used for your baseline weight and notice that the scale reads 2.4 pounds less than when you weighed in first thing in the morning – weight loss magic.
Before you get all huffy and think that this is something I recommend you do, I’m not recommended this. Besides not being a “health professional”, I know that this is just a temporary weight loss that is not sustainable. Trust me when I tell you that I couldn’t do this routine day in and day out.
All I’m really doing here is telling you what happened to me today. This was more a curiosity experiment than anything else. My 2 hour training run for the Robie Creek half marathon was brutal today. I was dragonbutt after about the halfway mark.
Sidebar your honor: dragonbutt is from the more common term “dragging butt” which loosely translates into hurts like hell.
Like I said, I was a hurting unit on the run. Just past the halfway mark, one hour out, I felt whooped. I could barely lift the old legs and plop them down in front of the previous step. I knew that if I stopped to rest and recover there was no way I was going to get going again. I grinded my way home – thank goodness the run was along the flat Boise greenbelt.
The pain I felt was similar to what I have heard about the P90X workout. The P90X website has a fitness test page that they recommend you use before purchasing their product. That should tell you a little something about how tough the program is. (Great p90x review, Savy).
Anyway, I’m done. I’m going to chug some water down and see how much of that 2.4 pounds I can gain back
