Long Run For Weight Loss

Big running day today.  I’m sure I lost some weight from today’s run.

I’m training for the Robie Creek half marathon that occurs in April each year.  Today’s run was supposed to be a 1 hour 45 minute run.  I did an out and back.  I went out for 52:30 and back in 50:00 for a total time of 1:42:30.  I started out much slower than I did for last week’s run.  I remembered how I felt last week – it didn’t help that my back was in pain last week – so I made an effort to start out relatively slow this week.  Next week’s 2 hour run I will try and have a more even pace.

And even though I felt wiped out today, I didn’t spend a lot of time lying around today.  My wife has the flu and needed some well deserved attention. I don’t know about you, but when my wife is not feeling well, I want to help her.  Tomorrow, I am going into work late and leaving early.
